Research is central to the vision of the Department and consistent with this, a thriving research culture has been developed. The department has achieved significant success in terms of publications in internationally -ranked, referred journals and has conducted a number of programmes in Entrepreneurship and management Development. In addition, Faculty members of the departmrnt have papers and articles published in a range of journals and books. The research culture is further enhanced by faculty members presenting papers at national and International Conferences. Faculty members have presented several research papers in international conferences abroad. The department intends to undertake research in the areas of Finance and Financial Economics: Finance is an active research group dedicated to advancing the understanding of financial economics. Forecasting: Research is conducted for generating short-term and long-term forecasts of various economic parameters at micro and macro level. Marketing Management: Research in the Marketing Division is carried out in two broad areas , Strategic and International Marketing, Communications and Consumer Behaviour. Communication Skills: Stress is laid on paralinguistics, Phonetics and Business communication. The Departmrnt is equipped with research facilities, offering PhD programme in Marketing, Finance, English Literature and Linguistics. |
